Google Business Profile
- Claim and verify your Google Business Profile.
- Pick the right primary category – the single most important choice on your profile – and add relevant secondary categories.
- Complete every field: hours (including holidays), services, products, attributes and a clear description.
- Add real photos of your premises, team and work – and keep adding new ones.
- Post updates about offers, events and news regularly.
Reviews and reputation
- Ask every happy customer for a review with a direct review link or QR code.
- Reply to every review, positive or negative, politely and promptly.
Never buy reviews or offer rewards for positive ones – it breaks Google’s policies and can get reviews removed.
Your website
- Keep your name, address and phone (NAP) identical on your website, profile and directories.
- Create a page for each location or service area with unique content – not copies with the area name swapped.
- Use local keywords naturally in titles, headings and copy (for example “SEO company in Nungambakkam, Chennai”).
- Add LocalBusiness structured data and embed a map on your contact page.
Authority and tracking
- Earn local links and citations – reputable directories, industry associations, local news and partners.
Then track the results: Google Business Profile insights (calls, direction requests, website clicks), Search Console queries containing your area names, and – most importantly – enquiries.
